Continuation of Proton Exora effect, Perodua also going to set off a bomb in local automotive market with its new compact MPV car called Perodua Alza. The first thing that crossed my mind was what was the meaning of Alza? How does it relate to this new model of MPV this time? However, no clue being disclosed so far. All I know is, it is a re badge of Toyota Passo Sette and Daihatsu Boon Luminas.
Perodua Alza is confirmed to be launched on 23th November 2009. Actually, Perodua has allowed interested buyer to make booking for this New Perodua MPV Car earlier this month. They are expected to get at least 3500 Perodua Alza to be sold per month. MPV car market really so good in Malaysia? Both of the local car manufacturers also have such high expectation on their MPVs.
Perodua Alza is installed with 3SZ-VE 1.5cc engine type, which is best known for excellent fuel economy, smooth pickup and acceleration. The fuel tank capacity is 42liter. It’s fuel consumption rate is claimed to has average 15.47km/l for manual transmission and 12.74km/l for auto transmission.
If you compare with Proton Exora which officially revealed that it has consumed 9.2liter per 100km, Perodua Alza can be considered quite good. Still, Proton Exora has its strong point. It has 125hp which much higher than Alza. Meanwhile, when talking about size, overall Alza has slightly smaller interior space as compare to Exora. So, these criteria might not be the main concern when buyer has to choose between them.
Finally came to the most important portion which is the price. Perodua Alza pricing will be set at RM56, 000 to RM65, 000. This is a fair price for such size and quality. For those who have big family but not willing to spend too much, this is an excellent choice. If you compare it with MPVs like Grand Livina, Chery Eastar, Naza Citra, Kia Rondo and Honda Odyssey, which cost higher, Perodua Alza really worthwhile since it is The New Perodua MPV Car.
just can’t wait to see the real alza in front of my eyes b4 judgment can be made whether it’s going to be alza or exora…size does matter…money….no problem.
aiya..i cant buy it and plan to pay deposit tomolo for better offered car
Hmm, the dashboard was on the left side? Guess hard to check whether we are speeding or not :p
Not really interested in MPV but I do hope Perodua will put Alza’s engine into Myvi. 1.5 Myvi will be super powerful! :p
Elegant design. Fuel consumption is also reasonably good. Time to get a MPV as my family car.

Between Perodua Nautica and Perodua Alza, which model is more better?
Was there in the Alza launched in KLCC by DPM. To be frank, Exora looks better, but DVVT engine is the winner.

hi Jenny, do you get your self an Alza already?
The rear seats are just to small for adult.
Maybe it is a another start point for Perodua Company. Perodua Alza similar to the Proton Exora, I think Toyota Avanza better than them. I seldom saw them on road recently.
