We are invited to Tree Monkey Restaurant at Teluk Bahang for food review few month ago, this restaurant is located next to Tropical Spice Garden.
We reach there around 6pm, when the sky still bright, we manage to take some photo shooting.
The restaurant have nice deco, according to the owner of this restaurant, the structure of this building all without nailing, they rope to tie it up nicely. The furniture are from Chiang Mai.
this tropical spice garden gift shop selling some spices, handy craft, and some decoration item.
This restaurant is linked together with tropical spice garden, from the spice museum at spice garden, visitor from tropical spice garden can walk to tree monkey restaurant for their meal.
Drink of the day, this drink name “Sunset Paradise“, a mock tail only serve to customer visit within 6pm to 7pm, Sunset Paradise is not listed in the menu, this drink cost RM10
Our first dishes, this appetizer name Thai Tapas. The menu shows 3 package, 8 pcs, 12 pcs and 16 pcs , RM30, RM45 and RM60 respectively.
In my opinion for this event, my so-called bad impression for this Tree Monkey food review came from the first dishes. we have approximate 20 reviewer and tree monkey restaurant only serve 4 plate of Thai Tapas, equally to 5 person with 1 plate of Thai Tapas. Imagine each pieces we require to slide into 5 person portion.

Tom Yum and Tom Kha, Tom Kha is a bit special for me, because I never taste this soup before. Tom Kha cook with using coconut milk with galangal, oyster mushroom and dry chili.
Above is Asian Tapas, serve with Tumeric Rice below, also known as Nasi Kunyik. Same to above dishes, 5 person share a place of Asian Tapas, and lucky not 5 person share a Tumeric Rice.
Although the food is a bit less, but everyone is enjoying their food.
Thai coconut ice cream is our dessert, I never taste Thai coconut ice cream before, I found the taste is special, but as other people opinion, the taste is not much different from others. Probably tree monkey restaurant can put more effort into the deco for this dessert, I believe it will be increase the value for this dessert.
The lighting at night time are more romantic
Overall for this restaurant, the environment is nice, food is above average, pricing is above average as well.
